The MSU choir has performed Carl Orff’s cantata “Carmina Burana”

19 and 26 November 2017 Academic choir of Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov was again performed in the Great hall of the Moscow State Conservatory. P. I. Tchaikovsky, sacred to all musicians. Sounded from the stage the most famous work of the twentieth century, written by Carl Orff — is immortal and relevant for all time, the legendary scenic cantata “Carmina Burana,” a piece written based on the medieval poems, in fact, one of the most popular works of world musical heritage.

As part of the big combined choir attended the State academic choral Capella named after A. A. Yurlov Academic choir of Moscow state University. M. V. Lomonosov and Children’s choir of academic Bolshoi theatre of Russia. The assembled choir and the State academic symphonic chapel of Russia in the evening was conducted by Maestro Philip Chizhevsky, conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre, conductor of symphonic choir.
